The Team

Lee Chalmers is a consultant, gender researcher and campaigner. She has been involved in gender equality efforts for a decade, started a women's network, made a film about the future for women and spent 3 years on the board of The Fawcett Society. She has an MSc in Gender and is currently researching a PhD on the connection between online trolling and women's participation in public life at the University of Edinburgh. The Parliament Project aims to be a practical contribution to women's representation and power. She stood for election to the Scottish Parliament in May 2016 for The Women's Equality Party.

Vicky Booth is a diversity specialist and project manager. She has a passion for increasing diversity within politics, and has been running initiatives to support women and other under-represented groups within the Liberal Democrats for the last 7 years. Vicky has an MA in Gender Studies from SOAS, where she looked specifically at gender dynamics in conflict resolution efforts in North Eastern Kenya. She is excited to be part of the Parliament Project team!
