Women of Edinburgh, would you like to learn more about getting into politics? Have you always had a burning desire to get elected but didn't know where to start?
Come along to Inclusion Scotland in Edinburgh for our two hour workshop where we will help demystify the process and you can learn more. You don’t need to have any political experience, and we welcome women from across the political spectrum (and none). It doesn’t matter how old you are or what your background is, we want to help you get started and connect with other women in Edinburgh who are on the same journey.
We will discuss the process from becoming inspired to get into politics to how to run. The workshop will include information about the access to elected office fund. This supports women with disabilities with the additional costs they may incur with standing for election. We will be joined by independent Councillor Ashley Graczyk who represents Sighthill and Gorgie. She will share her experiences of standing for election and becoming a councillor, including using the access to elected office fund.
Our events are open to all women, cis and trans.
We work hard to ensure our events are accessible for everyone - if you would like to join this workshop and have any access needs that you’d like to discuss please don’t hesitate to get in touch with firstname.lastname@example.org.
By registering for this event you are agreeing to receive information about future Parliament Project activities that you may be interested in, to support you on your own political pathway. You have the right to unsubscribe from these updates at any time.
We are holding this workshop in conjunction with Inclusion Scotland.
This work is possible thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund.
