Exploring your political Pathway.png

Are you a campaigner but don't know how your skills translate into formal politics? Maybe you want to contribute to your local community but don't know if becoming a Councillor is for you? Maybe you want to influence policies at Holyrood or Westminster but don't know how to begin? Maybe you just want to know how people choose a party...

Come along to connect with other women as we explore why women get into politics, what routes you can take and how to commit to your first steps. For women with little formal knowledge of politics but a desire to make a difference.

By understanding the stages involved in getting elected; from choosing and joining a party, becoming an activist, through to selection and election, we hope to provide you with all the information you need to forge your own path in politics. We’ll hear from those who have chosen a political pathway for themselves, answer your questions, and direct you to the support you need to get started.

Councillor Eleanor Bird, representingForth Ward for SNP on Edinburgh City Councilwill join us to share her experiences.  This session will be facilitated by The Parliament Project Founder Lee Chalmers
