Can you see yourself as the next woman elected councillor or MP?

We're so excited to be joining West Midlands Women's Voice for their 6 March event in the lead-up to International Women's Day 2019. Join us from 2-4 PM at the Custard Factory for a workshop for women who have an interest in politics but don't know where to start on their political career. Come along to connect with other women as we explore why women get into politics, what routes you can take and how to commit to your first steps. No matter what your political party leanings are, no matter what your background, life experience or age - you CAN.

We are delighted to be joined Councillor Nicky Brennan (Labour) and Beverley Nielsen, candidate for Mayor of the West Midlands Combined Authority (Liberal Democrat). Both will share why they wanted to get involved in politics and what it took to get there.

Register for free here - be sure to register for the "Afternoon workshop" session from 2-4 PM.

This is a women’s-only event, inclusive of trans and Intersex women, as well as non-binary and gender fluid people who identify in a significant way as woman or female. This venue is accessible for wheelchair users. If you would like to join this workshop and have any access needs that you’d like to discuss please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Hannah@parliamentproject.com.
